"v" is for VACATION (lots of pics)

Vacation: a period of time devoted to pleasure

I am back from my looonng vacation. I took the kids to
Tennessee for about a month to visit my family.
I LOVED seeing everyone and spending some time
with family that I only get to see once a year,
HOWEVER,
I am glad to be back home and back to our "routine".

While in TN, the kids had their pics taken...I will post those later!
So for now, please enjoy the many pics from our time away!

I will be blogging about the trip again next week, with several more pics!

"u" is for UNBELIEVABLE

Unbelievable: incredible or astonishing

The kids and I are on vacation in Tennessee visiting family.
We got here on June 11 and will be flying home on July 4
and Mike is home ALL alone!

I knew that it would take a little while for the kids to get
adjusted to the time change.
I think that I SEVERELY underestimated how long that would be.

Today was the first day that Adelynn has not had a TOTAL meltdown.
Also, it was the first day that Kaleb listened and behaved REALLY well.

I could not believe that it has taken a full week to get semi-adjusted.
I hope that today is the beginning of Kaleb and Adelynn getting back to themselves.

Here are some pics of the trip so far!

I left my camera at my aunt's house, so these are from my sister's camera.

"t" is for TODAY

Today: during or on the present day

Let me start by saying:
I have been a SUPER bad blogger lately.
I have been so pre-occupied with other things, that I have
put blogging on the back burner.

WELL...not anymore!!!

Today has been a BUSY, yet AMAZING day!
Here is my day (in a nutshell):

Adelynn had her 18 month checkup this morning and
she is FANTASTIC! Here is the breakdown:

height: 33in tall (85th percentile)
weight: 24lbs 10oz (60th percentile)
head circumference: 47.5in (80th percentile)

The only slight concern was the fact the her "soft spot" on her
head has not closed. The Dr. said that we will re-check it
at her 2 yr check-up.
She also had 2 shots (boo)!!!

her reward from the doctor

I cannot believe that Adelynn is already 18 months old...time flies!
I am so proud to be this little girls mama!!!

Also, today was a BIG day for Kaleb...
he graduated from Kindergarten!!!
He was SO excited for graduation...he even had
a speaking part, which I have to brag about!
Speaking parts were only given to the 3 best readers in
each class and Kaleb was one if them!!! : )

After a LONG and EXCITING day, we went out to dinner
to celebrate Kaleb's graduation!
We decided to go to Hod Rod Cafe for dinner!!!

I am so truly proud of Kaleb! I cannot believe he will
be going into 1st grade next year.
He is an AMAZING boy!
We are so proud of you Kaleb!!!

"s" is for SUPER (lots of pics)

Super: excellent

This past Friday (May 20) was my 28th birthday!
(Gosh - I am getting old)

I had a SUPER birthday weekend!!!

I spent time with my friend Sarah earlier in the day, we went on
a 6 mile walk. Then, I spent the rest of Friday with my family.
We went to dinner at Olive Garden! yummy

I went out with friends on Saturday night!!!
Mike's mom was not feeling well, so Mike stayed home with
the kids so I could get out! (such a sweetheart)

Here is my birthday weekend recap:

"r" is for RANDOM

Random: having no specific pattern, purpose or objective

I have been slacking majorly on my blog...we have been pretty
busy lately.
I am going to start blogging on a more regular basis
(on the weekdays that is)

The weather over here in the Pacific Northwest was GORGEOUS
over the past weekend, so we spent a lot of it outdoors!
Kaleb was busy playing across the street with his friend, so here are some pics
of Adelynn playin outside.

Last night, Mike and I curled up on the couch and watched some tv...
it was a little cold, so Mike covered up with a blanket...

I had to get a picture of him covered up in Adelynn's Cinderella blanket!
How cute is that??!

"q" is for QUICK

Quick: in a rapid or speedy manner

This is going to be a quick post to share with you
what we did on Mother's Day.

The day started off with Mike cooking me breakfast,
while I got to sleep in. (till 8:30)

I woke up to this:
kaleb made me a necklace & 2 cards at school! : )
I did not really want to do much, just spend time with my family!
Mike deep cleaned our washing machine, which was nice.
He also kept the kids out of my way so I could do some cleaning,
which I REALLY appreciated.

To finish off the day, we went over to Mike's parent's house.
We had dinner (steaks) and a great time visiting.

I am so blessed to be a mom to 2 wonderful kids!
so sweet
playin
little miss attitude

I hope everyone had a FABULOUS day as well!

"p" is for PROUD

Proud: feeling pleasurable satisfaction over an act

In a previous post I told you all about the run I was doing on May 1.
I am talking about Bloomsday 2011.
It is a 12k or 7.46 mile run in Spokane, WA.
I did it, I crossed the FINISH line! : )

Results:
Overall Place: 22,173 out of 50,611
Finish Time: 1:45:52
Pace: 14:11 per mile
For my 1st race, I think I did well. Actually, I could have done better,
if I didn't have a Sinus Infection that day. Boo!

Even though I was sick, I still beat my goal of 2 hours.
So I can honestly say that I am PROUD of myself.

I have a few more exciting events coming up this summer,
but I will share those at a later date! ;)
